With Christmas and the New Year just around the corner it’s time to reminisce on the deals gone by and we are pleased to say there’s over 100 of them – a total of 477,303 sq ft! This is coupled with the announcement of two more completions – an office at 55 Farringdon Road, EC1 and an A3 unit at 41 Greville Street, EC1. It’s been a busy year and we’re delighted with nearly half a million square foot being let or sold.
The 2nd Floor of 55 Farringdon Road has been leased to Pendomer Communications on behalf of the landlord Tri Capital. This brings us up to having completed on nine leases on this road alone showing that there is indeed an influx into this area. We suspect this interest will grow with the introduction of the Cross Rail set to make it even more accessible.
Our Retail & Leisure department has had a busy year with instructions and clients seeking acquisitions. Their reach has stretched all across London and beyond with deals as far as Essex and Hertfordshire. This time however the deal was a little more local, just around the corner in fact.
With its shop front facing out on to the vibrant Leather Lane, this unit is positioned in a prime retail spot. It has an exceptionally heavy weekday footfall due to the local businesses whilst also drawing a large crowd from Leather Lane market, famous for its clothing and food stalls. Visitors will now be treated with Japanese A3 café when it opens in the coming year.
