French Railway giants LONDON-SNCF have opened its Rail Europe travel centre to 193 Piccadilly from Lower Regent Street.
The French railways operator has leased a 1,500-square-foot unit at the Piccadilly property from Aviva Investors. Richard Susskind & Company Retail and Leisure advised Cilantro Café on the disposal of the ground floor and basement premises at an undisclosed premium.
SNCF will pay GBP 225,000 per annum exclusive as annul rent. In the lease transaction, SCNF was advised by Alpha Browett Taylor. BCL advised landlords Aviva.
David Toubian Director at Susskinds who disposed of the premises commented: “not surprisingly there was significant demand for this particular unit which ultimately was secured by a European corporate with exceptional covenant who were prepared to agree a significant uplift in the rent in exchange for a first class address”. Other retailers keen to be represented on the prime patch south of Piccadilly are popular perfumery Creed, Italian designers Frankie Morello, Alviero Martini and Daniele Alessandrini. We wish SNCF every success with their move.
