Since 1989 Richard Susskind & Company have been at the heart of the commercial property market in this part of Central London. We started in a small office in HattonGarden, Clerkenwell with a focus on Office, Investment and Retail & Leisure agency. Since then, we have witnessed some incredible changes.
Clerkenwell, Farringdon, Shoreditch and Old Street were associated as “fringe” parts of London, given their proximity to key hotspots such as the City and the West End. Things have changed, and what has happened in recent years has been staggering.
The cheaper rents and excellent transport links have put these areas among the most sought after in Central London. In turn, an enormous amount of creative occupiers have called Clerkenwell and Shoreditch their home. We have had the pleasure of placing occupiers such as Alexander McQueen, Timberland, TM Lewin, Esprit, Levi’s and Drakes in their new offices. More recently, we have worked with a substantial amount of tenants from the tech sector, all interested in being as close to Old Street as possible. From City Fringe to Tech Belt, the rapid changes in these areas show no signs of slowing down.
